Less is more. I cleaned up some links from blogs that went dark, and added a few new feeds. This includes feeds from lenderama's new list of contributing bloggers.

Another new version is up. Some new blogs have been included like Bliss Sawyer's Marketing Blog and a few feeds were removed as they appeared to be stagnate. In the news section, I added a "Latest Mortgage Rates" that pulls trending data from BankRate. Broker Outpost's Reference Library was also added to the training section.

Mortgage Bookmarks 2.0 is up and running. While the original bookmarks script will continue to update, the new one has even more functionality. Here's a rundown of the changes:
Google Blog Search Feeds - Google generates an RSS feed for every query performed in it's new Blog Search Engine. The feed is constantly updated with the latest search. Bookmarks syndicates searches for Mortgage, Real Estate, Interest Rates, Fraud and more. You download the new version, just like the old one. Just follow the installation instructs linked here on the blog. Friday, February 10, 2006What's this all about?
The live Mortgage Bookmarks tool.
Do you use the Firefox web browser? Would you like to import a list of hundreds of mortgage links, including the latest news all updated automatically? Read on. This tool is a creation of mine that I'm sharing with other mortgage professionals. It's a directory of web sites specific to mortgage brokers and other industry professionals. Linked within the bookmark list are processors, forums, wholesale lender web sites and much much more. The best part about these bookmarks are that they are LIVE! They call on a new technology called RSS. News, Blogs, and even forum posts are updated regularly. All of the links in the directory are as well. This means, that when I find a new link and save it, you will see it automatically. The whole premise works off of a feature in Firefox called Live Bookmarking. To use this feature, download the Firefox web browser and then follow my installation instructions. Thursday, January 19, 2006Screen Shots
Here's some shots of the bookmarks in action. Click on the pics for a lerger view.
Mortgage Headlines, Fed News and the latest posts from Industry Blogs are all updated hourly. The Industry Directory includes Doc-Closing Services, Contract Processors, Web Designers, Marketing and more... A-Paper, Non-Conforming, and Commercial Lenders are all listed. As I find new links, your live bookmarks folder is updated automatically. Don't forget to check out the latest from the blog that brings this tool to you.

First, you need to be running the Firefox web browser. You can download it for free by clicking the banner add at the top of this page. This bookmark list will not work for Internet Explorer.
Download the links file to your desktop by RIGHT-CLICKING on THIS LINK and selecting Save Target As or Save Link As. You can save it wherever you want on your computer, I recommend the Desktop so it will be easier to find later. Open, Firefox Click on Bookmarks Click Manage Bookmarks Click File then Import A new window will open. Click From File and select lenderamabookmark.html from the desktop That's it! The new folder will take a few seconds to download the live links. You will find the folder at the bottom of your existing list of Bookmarks (if you have any) I dragged the entire folder to my bookmarks tool bar folder to make it easier to access, but you can leave it in the main folder if you prefer. |
